FAQs

These FAQs are designed to provide a better understanding how we work

What types of insurance do you accept?

I do bill insurance companies out of network. To check on your particular carriers coverage please give me a call.

How much for the initial session?

The initial session is $150 self pay, or insurance will be billed.

What is your hourly self-pay rate?

My hourly self-pay rate is $150. However, depending on the treatment plan of the client, that may change for a lesser amount. Rates will be determined after the initial session.

What treatment modalities do you use?

I use many different modalities of therapy. I do not believe that all people require the same formula to treat. Therefore, my approach is not a “one size fits all” approach. Each and every client is treated with a customized plan of action.

However, I will say, the ones that are most commonly used is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Experiential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and the 12 Step Approach.

Group FAQs

Common group questions answered.

What is group therapy?

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy to work in conjunction with individual therapy. Group therapy is designed to help people through a lens of mutual support. A powerful thing happens when a group of people struggling with the same issue unite together for connection and healing. Other people’s experiences and growth can be motivating, encouraging, and ultimately catapults someone into their journey of healing.

What is the commitment for group?

Commitment is important. The safety and sanctity of the group depend on each group member showing up and being dedicated to her own process.

Each module is 12 weeks long. After that 12 weeks, we take a 2 week break. After the two week break, we launch another 12 week module. You may choose to join another 12 weeks or not.

So, I ask that you commit to 12 weeks (3 months).

Is this confidential?

Group is a confidential space. A safe sanctuary is vital for the group to thrive. What is said in group, stays in group. Everyone is to sign a contract of confidentiality in order to enter.

I don’t really like or trust  women and feel uneasy about a women’s group.  How will an all female group help me?

Many times, we have been betrayed or tarnished by relationships with other women in our life.  We may have thought of other women as being our “competition” or “back stabbers”.  This bias is the ultimate reason to be vulnerable with other women. An all female group will help you as a woman to build trust with other women which creates a connection of safety. This is the best way to create a trust, love and connection with you, to create self love and the BEST YOU!
