“I was in a very low place when I met Kim Litton. I had sought out help from therapists before with little results. This left me feeling hopeless until I met Kim. She has drastically changed my life and given me hope and endless support during my recovery. I thought my sex addiction would ruin my life forever but Kim has helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. For the first time in my life, I do not feel alone in my addiction.”G.
“I first met Kim when she was the program director of the IOP I was attending. Right away, I felt a sense of ease talking to her, like she wouldn’t judge me for anything I told her. As a former addict, she could understand why I felt and did things the way I did. I look forward to my weekly sessions with her as she provides me with guidance and validation as I continue along on my journey.”J.
“You can change what you’d like but this is my truth without saying f*ck!!! I adore you Let me start by saying I have never written a testimonial for anyone or any company (and that includes a Yelp review) but I a compelled to write about Kim Litton. I have been in counseling of every type (Talk, EMDR, DBT, CBT, psychiatry and others) since I was eleven years old due to trauma. In my life I’ve experienced molestation, witnessing death, drinking, drugs, cutting, abusive relationships, and other traumatic events. Anxiety, panic, depression, self loathing all became a normal way of life for me. I am now 51 and after 40 years of trying to get help from healthcare professionals and it failing I believed I would have to live my life without having ever experienced inner peace, a healthy and loving relationship with myself or anyone else, and I wouldn’t experience true joy. I accepted that I was unable to be helped and this was my lot in life. I was referred to Kim Litton who has saved me life. Kim is the first therapist I wasn’t able to hide from. After 49 years this was the first time a therapist sat in their chair without pen and paper, without looking at the clock and looked at me with both the brilliance of a clinician and the eyes of someone who cared about my well being. As she would lean forward in her chair with both feet firmly on the ground she would sometimes say, “that’s beautiful” and other times she’d say “let’s get back to the stuff you don’t want to talk about.” Wow, that was hard to hear. I was so used to avoiding talking about my “real” issues and talking about “so tell me how was your week” that I was kind of shocked. Kim is a beautiful woman, soft spoken, with a slight southern accent. But more importantly she is a relentless fighter for her clients to get well. I have been able to cope “or not really” with my life as it was. With Kim’s guidance I was able to hear, then understand, and now believe that I don’t need to live like this. It didn’t take many months or years of therapy with Kim for me to come to this overwhelming epiphany. What it did take was someone who is a master at her craft. I cannot put into words my deeply heartfelt gratitude to Kim for giving me the guidance to help get me to a place where I am willing and wanting to do the necessary work that already has and will continue to get me to a place of internal peace. My story may be different from yours, but ultimately we are seeking counseling to be able live a happier and healthier life. So yes I am writing my first testimonial, not only for Kim but for you. I am a living testimonial of the importance of having an amazing therapist. I am on the road to recovery because of the most amazing soul I’ve ever met, Kim Litton. I am and will forever be grateful.”A.
